We confirm backups are running every month and restore one to staging every quarter, so you know they work.

ONBOARDING
We'll take on code we didn't write. We read it first.
Before we're on call for an app, an engineer spends a few days with the code: how it deploys, where the secrets live, what the tests cover and what would break first. You get a short written list of risks, and monitoring is set up during the review. The review costs $750, one time. If we built your product, there's no review fee.
Sometimes the review shows a prototype that was never built for real users: plain-text passwords, payments done by hand, no way to deploy safely. A care plan can't fix that one patch at a time, and we'll tell you so. The next step then is the one-week Production-Readiness Audit ($5,000, credited against the fix if you build with us).

What counts as an hour?
Counts against your hours
- Fixing a bug you reported
- A small change: new field, copy update, extra email, a report column
- Investigating something odd you asked us to look at
- Updating a third-party integration when the provider changes its API

- Monthly monitoring, patches and the backup check
- Writing the health note

We track time in 30-minute steps and show it in the health note. If a request will take more than the hours you have left, we tell you before starting and you choose: wait for next month, approve extra hours at $45 an hour, buy prepaid hours, or skip it.
PREPAID HOURS
Need a few changes, not a monthly plan?
Buy a block of engineering hours instead. $45 an hour, 20 to 120 hours, and bigger blocks cost less per hour. Prepaid hours don't include monitoring or patches; for those you need a plan.
